One family in Norway was lucky and they got a huge souvenir for free. On Monday, the Thomassen family found a broken roof of their hut, and a meteorite in it. The rock weighted about 585 grams and it split in two. The family decided to keep the rock and put it in a museum. Serge Koutchmy, a researcher said that the family is very lucky. Firstly because, it is very rare for a meteorite to land in a inhabited area. Second, it didn't cause much damage, and lastly it is worth a little fortune, its worth 5,000 kroner or $876 per gram.
I think this family is very lucky because they got a souvenir for free. And it is quite a adventure to experience the foundation of a meteorite or anything from space. I think if something like that landed in my house, I would definitely keep it, and be proud that I found something like that, and I would make my friends from school jealous.

Wow! Could you imagine coming home or going to your camp and finding a meteorite had smashed through the roof? In the end, it was good because they got something in return from the intruder! A very rare case. Thanks for sharing.
